The students of the Eleanor Roosevelt High School Environmental Defense Club produced some well thought out videos as testimony in support of the 100% Clean Energy School petitions.  The videos were submitted as official testimony at the January 14, 2021 Board of Education meeting for the first reader.  We wanted to share their good work with you too.

On January 14 the Prince George’s County voted to move forward the 100% Clean Energy Resolution to a second reader (which will happen on February 11).  We are excited for the progress and very thankful to Board Members Boozer-Strother and Jackson for introducing the resolution and for the unanimous support from the Board of Education to move this to a second vote.  We are also thankful to the students at Eleanor Roosevelt High School that submitted video testimony and will be sharing those testimonies on our social media.

On January 14 at 7PM the Prince George’s County Board of Education will be introducing the 100% Clean Energy Resolution for a first reading. As of writing multiple students have submitted testimonial videos in support.

On December 9, our lead volunteer spoke against the amendment of the pipeline permit requested by Panda Mattawoman, LLC at the Public Service Commission. We spoke out to support the activities of Clean Air Prince George’s and for the health of those that live near the proposed pipeline, in particular the students in the area.
